You’re zooming through whitewater and paddling like mad to avoid an oncoming rock formation. Water is rushing all around your face and you can just barely find the line to cut through to the other side before you’re at it again.
After an afternoon of rafting you’re welcomed to a gourmet lunch riverside. You’re still all smiles as you tell the stories of barely missed obstacles and going ‘swimming’ in the rapids with your new friends. Then after lunch you transition into a totally unique business breakthrough discussion right on the riverside along with our special guest expert. No classroom here.
Then it’s off to relax, re-invigorate and become inspired at a geothermal spring. You've been thinking about a new idea for a long time and after bouncing it off the group of successful entrepreneurs assembled -- you get the breakthrough you've been looking for!
When you wake up it’s time to hit the mountains for even more adventure and surprises. Challenge yourself to a half day of Rock Climbing followed by Mountain Biking. Add to all this a 4x4 off-roading experience and we're still not done yet.
Yes, it's all a ton of fun but there’s also real business being done from the inevitable close connections to the planned business sessions. Day One: Wednesday — Aug. 13: Arrive Aspen
3 PM: Arrival & Connections: Arrive in Aspen in the afternoon and meet your fellow Mavericks. You’ll reconnect with old friends and begin the process of getting to know new members.
3:30 – 7:30 PM, Maverick Business Session: Next, you’ll dive right into our first breakthrough business session with Maverick members. You’ll confidentially and informally share "what's working" in your business, brainstorm new ideas, tackle pressing issues and swap resources & best practices.
7:30 – 9:30 PM, Cocktails, Dinner & Special Guest Appearance: Then you’ll meet for dinner and a cocktail party with a special guest appearance by Mr. Frank McKinney. Frank McKinney, the Maverick Daredevil Real Estate Artist, and who the Wall Street Journal called "the Real Estate Rock Czar".
At age 18, with $50 in his pocket and without the benefit of higher education, Mr. McKinney left his native Indiana for Florida in search of his professional highest calling. Upon attending his 4th high school in 4 years (he was asked to leave the first 3), McKinney was fortunate to earn his high school diploma with a less-than-stellar 1.8 GPA.
In his first Florida job he earned $180 a week, waking at 4:00am, and digging sand traps by hand on a Deerfield Beach golf course. On May 19, 1986, at age 22, Mr. McKinney founded his first real estate investment company and bought his first $50,000 fixer-upper, selling it a few months later for a $7,000 profit.
Now, 22 years later, McKinney continues to create real estate markets where others dare to tread. He has built spec homes (homes built without a buyer) valued in the tens of millions of dollars, including the creation of the world's first $100+ million spec home.

Day Two: Thursday — Aug. 14: Valley of the Fourteeners Class III-IV+ Whitewater
6:45 – 7:30 AM, Early Breakfast: It’s an early start as we fuel up for breakfast for the start of our adventure in the Valley of the Fourteeners.
7:45 – 9:15 AM, Scenic Motor Coach: We’ll head over Independence Pass into the Valley of the 14,000 Collegiate Mountain range and the Famous Arkansas River. This is a good time for members to connect or just rest up.
9:30 AM, Arkansas River Whitewater Rafting Class III — IV: Get ready to zoom through whitewater and experience an adrenaline charge as you paddle through obstacles and rocks lead by your expert river guides. The first part of your adventure begins with Class III-IV+ rapids down the Arkansas River, named America’s top whitewater river. Your Maverick rafting adventure also gives you an opportunity to be a river guide too.
After a full morning of rafting — you’ll be welcomed to a gourmet lunch prepared riverside.
Then after lunch you transition into a 2-hour, totally unique business breakthrough discussion right on the riverside. No classroom here. It's totally Maverick style!
5:00 PM, Natural Hot Springs: Escape to Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort to experience restful relaxation in a gorgeous natural oasis surrounded by towering peaks. The heart of Mount Princeton is their geothermal springs.
You’ll be able to lounge in crystal clear, odorless waters reaching 135 degrees, constructing cooling currents with smooth river rocks. Revered by the Ute Indians as a ceremonial bath, these springs also feed the pristine pools, complete with a water slide, averaging 95 degrees in temperature. Allow the natural hot springs restore your sense of wellbeing and reconnect you with the healing powers of nature.
7:30 – 9:30 PM, Special Outdoor Barbeque: Cap off your day with a delicious barbeque meal prepared and served outside in the pristine mountain air.

2-Time Super Bowl Champion & Entrepreneur, Carl Banks
Carl Banks success follows him on the field and off...
Banks played for three NFL teams from 1984 to 1995, the New York Giants, the Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Browns highlighted by being named a member of the NFL's 1980's All-Decade Team He was the 3rd overall pick in the 1984 NFL draft and was a member of the Giants teams that won Super Bowls XXI and XXV. Banks was a standout in their Super Bowl XXI victory in which he recorded 14 total tackles, including 10 solo tackles to be named Defensive MVP.
But that's just one part of Carl's life. He is truly a multi faceted individual who has parlayed his talents into a successful business conglomerate, basing his company’s philosophy on family values applied to every project he undertakes.
Staring during his playing days, Banks started designing clothes for his teammates. The clothing became so popular that he began to distribute them to major retailers and soon joined GIII Apparel to distribute the GIII/Carl Banks line of clothing which was a partnership that became highly successful. So successful that sales for this apparel manufacturer, licensee and distributor for 2007 added up to $518,870,000.00.
Carl will be sharing his business success philosophy plus lessons learned from the grid iron on teamwork, leadership and winning. Even better, he won't simply be there for a quick hour or 2. Carl will actually be with the Mavericks whitewater rafting and taking part in the adventure together.
But it gets better — following the white water rafting there's another big surprise for members...
Carl is going to be firing up the grill and hosting a down home BBQ at our lodge! That's right, we'll get to chow down on his new "Famous 58" line of barbecue products, already successfully sold on Home Shopping Network.
Our special Maverick BBQ will feature racks of Famous 58’s St. Louis style baby back ribs, juicy Angus beef burgers with all the fixings, pulled BBQ pork and more.
This is truly a unique experience to share with your fellow Maverick members and one of the all-time athletic greats.
Day Three: Friday - Aug. 15: Valley of the Fourteener's - Rock Climbing and Mountain Biking
7:00 – 7:45 AM, Hearty Breakfast: Once again you’ll want to fuel up because today is going to be a huge adventure day!
8 – 10:AM, Maverick Business Breakthrough Session: Start off the day with a confidential session covering more business breakthroughs and confidential conversations with your fellow Mavericks.
10:30 – 1PM, Half day of Rock Climbing (top rope with instruction): You’ll enjoy the accomplishment of tackling some of the most awesome mountains in the entire country. If you are up to it, attempt a 3 pitch climb over 300’ straight up. This will not be for wimps. For new mountaineers there will be smaller but no less adrenaline producing climbs.
1 – 1:45 PM, Group Picnic Lunch: You’ll have worked up a real appetite after Rock Climbing and you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with all the fixings before your next activity!
2 – 4:30 PM, Half day of Mountain Biking: Get ready to release the breaks and make a run down a single-track terrain downhill back to the Lodge. Whether you’re a beginner biker or experienced off roader — there’s a route for you here. If you like downhill action, you'll love this. You'll get shuttled up to 10,000’ then bonsai down challenging single track through forest of Aspen, ghost mining town and Colorado summer scenery you can't beat.
5 – 6:30 PM, Scenic Motor Coach: We’ll head back the way we came over 11,000 Independence Pass and back to Aspen. You’ve got this time to share some of the stories of your day’s adventures with fellow members, casually talk business or just snooze 'til we come home.
8:30 – 10 PM, Special Dinner in Aspen: Aspen is known for its gourmet restaurants and superb food. Each year the town plays host to the Nationally acclaimed Food & Wine festival so there’s no shortage of delicious choices for dinner.
Day Four: Saturday - Aug. 16: 4x4 Adventure & Young Entrepreneurs 'Giving Back' Session
Early Breakfast (optional)
9 – 10:30 AM, Young Entrepreneurs training (optional for members): Part of Maverick Business Adventures™ mission is to give back through charity and education to young & aspiring entrepreneurs. This could have a major impact on the local areas that may not have the resources or real-life successful examples to learn business from.
At our first Ultimate Baja Experience nearly half the members generously gave their time and insights to help business students from the local college real-world, practical advice for a head start in the real world.
11 – 4:30 PM, 4x4 Off-roading Adventure: Our special Maverick Style’ 4x4 adventure takes up over Taylor Pass which is one of the most rugged and and beautiful. We'll navigate around boulders, drops, holes and push your way into terrain you’d never take a regular car through. You’ll enjoy Aspen forests, ghost town, avalanche shoots, fields of wild geraniums and unbeatable mountain vistas.
Time Unknown, Deluxe picnic lunch in Wilderness: We’ll meet up in a secret rendezvous spot if you can make it here for a deluxe picnic lunch deep in the mountains.
4:30 – 7PM, Free time: Enjoy the shopping and activities in Aspen.
7:30 – 10:30 PM, VIP Cocktail Party & Dinner at Aspen Mountain Club: Operated by The Little Nell, the Aspen Mountain Club, one of the world's most exclusive clubs, is located on top of Aspen Mountain at 11,200 feet above sea level and is accessible via the Silver Queen Gondola.
This private membership club costs $125,000.00 to join but Mavericks have special access to the club with spacious living room, each with large fireplaces, and a magnificent dining room offering up views of the glorious Elk Mountain range make this a unique destination.
11 PM, Evening Aspen nightlife: Get ready to kick it up because as the sun goes down – Aspen comes alive to party! Maverick members know how to get a good time going and we’ll head down to Hyman Avenue where all the hottest night spots are concentrated. Maverick members work hard and play even harder!
Day Five: Sunday - Aug. 17: Wrap-Up and Depart
9:00AM, Breakfast: Meet with your fellow Mavericks to swap stories over breakfast about last night.
9:30 – 11AM, Final Maverick Business Session: This is the time for the final wrap ups, big ideas recap, take-aways and our last discussions.
